Travel Info
Conference Venue
The CogSci2010 Conference will be held at the Oregon Convention Center (OCC). The Center is located across the river from downtown Portland, at 777 NE MLK, Jr. Blvd. Portland, OR 97232, United States of America.
Hotel Accommodations
We have room blocks at two hotels for CogSci 2010. If at all possible, please book your reservations at one of these two hotels, through the links below. Reservations should be made on or before July 23 to take advantage of the reduced rates.
Staying at the conference hotels is extremely important, because if we do not meet our room block requirement we pay large penalties to the hotels - the Society has to pay the difference between our guarantee and the actual bookings.
We go to great lengths to keep expenses and registration fees as low as reasonable, while still providing a high quality annual event for our cognitive science community. One of the reasons registration fees for our conference are still as low as they are, especially for students, is that we reliably meet our room block minimums at the conference hotels. If we fail to achieve that this year, it will negatively impact our negotiating power with future conference venues and will likely result in increases in future registration fees in order to recoup the financial penalties we will incur this year.
Please help the Society avoid the negative consequences of not meeting this year's room block by choosing to stay at the conference hotels.

The center is located within the city's "Fareless Square", allowing passengers to travel on the trains for free within the downtown area. MAX makes stops throughout downtown Portland, the airport and west to Hillsboro, Oregon.
